3 Rose Gold DIY Decor Ideas for Your Office

rose gold DIYs for #girlboss office
It’s classy, it’s feminine, it’s pink. It pairs well with the cover of the #GirlBoss book. It pairs perfectly with white and marble and even cement – like a boss who knows how to make stuff happen, but also have fun. Can you ever have too much rose gold? I think not.
So roll up your boss lady blazer sleeves and lets get to crafting.

1. Rose Gold Photo Grid

You guys, I’m so proud – I made my first DIY video tutorial! Let’s just say it was a lot harder than I expected and took quite a bit longer than an old fashioned photo tutorial, but it was also really fun.

You’ll Need:
Here’s how to make the rose gold photo grid:

2. Rose Gold Dresser

I added a rose gold accent to the Ikea Malm dresser I use for all my craft supply storage, as you saw in the Office Renovation Part 2 post.
You’ll Need:
Step 1: Pull out your drawer, and measure the space on the drawer frame you’re going to cover. Then, cut out strips of contact paper in just slightly over this width.

Step 2: Peel off the back of the contact paper, and smooth it onto the dresser. Take your time – it is tricky. I found the best way was to cut the pieces larger than I needed, and trim off the excess.Step 3: Smooth out the air bubbles with a credit card, or something flat but not sharp. Trim the edges with the craft knife if needed.

Step 4: Repeat on all drawers. One tip – it is easier to do if you take all the drawers out to begin with. I did not do this, and I ended up smashing a finger under the last drawer. Brian thought I was dying – I thought I was dying – or would need it amputated. I still have marks on my finger nail from it!

3. Rose Gold and Marble Mouse pad

I’ve given you a tutorial for this mouse pad before, but here’s a quick recap.
You’ll Need:
Step 1: Cut the craft foam to the size you’d like your mouse pad.
Step 2: Cut the contact paper to the sizes you’d like to create a striped effect. If I were to make this again, I’d make the copper section bigger, or even on a diagonal, because sometimes it’s hard for the mouse to work on the marble.
Step 3: Peel off the back of the contact paper and attach it to the craft foam. It’s that easy!
